THA is taking action to support the continuous development of all of our people in the hospitality and tourism industry as a result of the significant ripple effect the COVID-19 pandemic has had on this important industry.
As part of THA's partnership with Typsy, we have absorbed the cost of subscription, meaning there will be no cost to gain unlimited access to Typsy's 750+ online video resources, quizzes and downloadable resources for the hospitality industry until April 30, 2022.
We have developed a support process for venues across the State, member and non-member, and it’s free to all. It attempts to provide useful information and guide them through the Work Safe Safety Plan process.
The program is built around video presentation about the critical issues – Social Distancing, Person to Person Transmission, Venue hygiene and safety for patrons and staff, documentation requirements, staff buy-in to the process, and the Work Safe Safety Plan requirements. We have attached many supporting documents sourced from various sites, of particular assistance is a Hospitality Cleaning Guidelines from Work Safe.

THA is recognizing that the Work Safe Safety Plan is a legislated requirement but is offering advice that the complexity can be managed, particularly through the linking of updated venue Policies and Procedures to the plan.
THA has negotiated 2 years free membership of Typsy (our video based Learning Framework) for all venues, members or not, and included THA customized content that will skill and inform venue staff as preparation to move into the post COVID environment.
Typsy video lessons are translated into many languages.
